Hi Billy Mays here! asked:
I know that affiliate marketing is oversaturated, but is there really any chance of making some decent money with it?

Some people work hard, and they make thousands. Some people work hard and they make next to nothing.

Try learning to swing trade or day trade with your extra money. Get a brokerage account, study, practice trading on paper for a while. I started doing it while out of work earlier this year and now I view it as the career for the rest of my life. Pennie stocks are worth a look!

Not really, unless you have a great site to advertise on that thousands of people visit daily. It’s a rough go in affiliate marketing, the good thing is the required investment is usually really small (if any) – and that’s exactly why the market is saturated today.
I’m not saying you can’t make money but you probably won’t make as much as you want to make. Too many players in a small game…I say do it but get a back-up plan ready.

Absolutely. Even though there is over saturation, you will be successful if you are able to create and maintain a website that attracts traffic, and if the links you provide to products offered by affiliated vendors are relevant to the web site’s audience.
For example, a successful blog about a television show that has links to merchandise related to the show – such as the DVD releases of each season will likely make some money on referral sales.
Remember, the key is to actually create something useful that people will want to visit frequently and then use affiliate links to add value to your content.

Definitely! There are hundreds and thousands of merchants looking for affiliates. There’s still lots of opportunities to share the pie.
